Lakeshore Park & Beach, Vernon
About Lakeshore Park, Okanagan Lake, BC
Lakeshore Park and Beach is a new addition to Vernon, British Columbia’s already long list of beautiful beaches. It is situated at the head of scenic Okanagan Lake in BC’s famous wine region known as the Okanagan Valley. The beach has already been used for a long time by locals but it recently underwent a revamping and was transformed into a wonderful family-friendly park. The park features a brand new playground, picnic tables, gardens, and a nice white sand beach with gorgeous views of Okanagan Lake, BC.
Lakeshore Beach is a great place to sit and relax, but as with its neighbor, the more popular Kin Beach the water at the head of the lake is not the cleanest. With that being noted if you're looking to go for a nice swim, then we recommended that you drive about 10 minutes down Okanagan Landing Road to one of the many beaches out there. You can also drive 10 minutes down the other side of the lake on Tronson Road towards Adventure Bay where there are several good swimming beaches as well.
