Proctor Lake is a small alpine body of water that is located in the mountains that surround the city of Vernon, British Columbia. it sits high above the bottom of the Okanagan Valley and has an elevation of 1,365 meters. The lake is accessible by taking Silver Star Road from Vernon and is also around 5.1 miles from the town of Armstrong.
Kalamalka Lake is a truly memorizing sight to behold and is perhaps the most beautiful attraction in the entire Okanagan Valley and that is saying a lot when you’re talking about a region of British Columbia with seemingly infinite beauty. The lake is fair in size and stretches 16 km from the city of Vernon to the quaint beach town of Oyama. Popular parks around the lake include Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park, Cougar Canyon, Kekuli Bay Provincial Park, Kaloya Reginal Park, and Pioneer Park.
Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park lies on a picturesque rocky peninsula that extends out into the lake of the same name, Kalamalka, also known as “the lake of many colors”. The park features around 978 hectares (2,420 acres) of arid Okanagan Valley wilderness that boasts gorgeous coves and beaches, along with scenic hiking trails looking out over the blue waters of the lake.

Kennedy Lane Beach is a small lake access point located on scenic Tronson Road in Vernon, British Columbia. It is situated on the sought after vacation destination known as Okanagan Lake and is just a short drive from one of the largest stretches of beach in the Okanagan Valley known as KIn Beach. This tiny park has no amenities aside from a single picnic table but does provide sensational views of the lake and the mountains that surround it and provides a quiet and tranquil place for a lovely picnic. Kennedy Lane Beach is small and the Okanagan gets very busy in the summer, so getting there early is essential if you’d like to have the place all to yourself.

It is situated along gorgeous Kalamalka Lake in the Coldstream community just a few minutes outside of Vernon, British Columbia. it is within walking distance from several other beaches including Kalavista Beach and the uber-popular Kal Beach. It is close to several other attractions including Middleton Mountain hiking trails where you hike up to the top and take in the stunning views of the Okanagan Valley as well as Kal Beach and the lake’s incredibly blue water. The Okanagan Rail Trail is another nearby attraction that goes along the entire length of Kalamalaka Lake and beyond and it can be enjoyed by either walking or biking.
Kalavista Beach is a small section of parkland in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia that has been set aside for public use. It is located along Kalamalka Road just a short drive from Vernon’s most popular attraction Kal Beach. Aside from a small bench, the park doesn’t have anything in terms of amenities, though it is a great spot to relax in peace and quiet away from busy Kal Beach. It is a great place for a romantic picnic or to watch one of the gorgeous Okanagan sunsets overlooking the lake.
Kal Beach is just a short drive from the city of Vernon, British Columbia, and is probably the most popular tourist attraction in the area. It is located in the quiet Coldstream neighborhood of the Okanagan Valley and is situated at the head of the brilliantly blue body of water known as Kalamalka Lake. Kal Beach faces towards Kelowna and provides excellent views of the arid Okanagan landscape that covers the hills surrounding the lake. It is approximately 300-meters long and contains nice soft sand, there are also large poplar trees that provide ample shade on a hot Okanagan day. There are picnic tables within the park as well as convenient washroom facilities, a large parking lot, a beach volleyball court, and a concession stand that serves food and drinks.
Lakeshore Park and Beach is a new addition to Vernon, British Columbia’s already long list of beautiful beaches. It is situated at the head of scenic Okanagan Lake in BC’s famous wine region known as the Okanagan Valley. The beach has already been used for a long time by locals but it recently underwent a revamping and was transformed into a wonderful family-friendly park. The park features a brand new playground, picnic tables, gardens, and a nice white sand beach with gorgeous views of Okanagan Lake, BC.
Pumphouse Beach is located along the edge of amazing Kalamalka Lake in the world-famous Okanagan Valley, British Columbia. The lake is well known for its warm summertime waters and stunning aqua blue colors. Kal Lake has many beaches and parks where you can spend the day with the family and probably the most popular is Kal Beach which is just down the road from Pumphouse Beach and is a quieter breath of fresh air compared to its much busier neighbor.

It is one of the main tourist attractions in Vernon and features a long stretch of white sand, a big playground for the kids, washroom facilities, gazebos for large family gatherings, bbq fire pits, picnic tables, and benches. The area around the beach has a campground called Sandy Beach Campground as well as a concession with ice cream and food.
Whitepoint Beach lies on the outskirts of the city of Vernon in the lovely Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, and sits on the edge of gorgeous Okanagan Lake. For around 80 years this little slice of paradise known as Hurlburt Park was a summer camp for kids, and it wasn’t until recently that the city of Vernon, British Columbia purchased the land and turned it into this picturesque public beach. This is especially a treat for locals who drove by this mesmerizing spot on a regular basis while making their way out to nearby Ellison Provincial Park and always daydreamed of being able to one day lay on its that perfect sand.
Rattlesnake Point is the incredibly scenic tip of a rocky peninsula of Kalamalka Lake in Vernon, British Columbia, and is located in super popular Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park, which is one of the top tourism destinations in the spectacular Okanagan Valley. Rattlesnake Point can be reached by any of the trailheads within the park and is generally around a 6 km hike round trip.
