Ellison Provincial Park
About Ellison Provincial Park, British Columbia, Canada
Ellison Provincial Park is situated on the outskirts of the city of Vernon, British Columbia in the world-renowned wine and fruit-growing region known as the Okanagan Valley. It is one of many beaches that are strewn throughout this beautiful valley, but Ellison stands out due to its spectacular scenery that features sheltered coves of clear jade-colored waters, along with gorgeous red sand beaches that are unmatched in their unique beauty.
Aside from the incredible beauty that is abundant in this provincial park, there are also many excellent hiking trails within the park that take you through interesting geological rock formations and over high cliffs that boast great views overlooking the shores of Okanagan Lake.

The Okanagan swells with visitors in the summer months, but Ellison tends to be one of the more laid back parks, and getting a decent spot shouldn’t be an issue. There is a large campground within the park that has a total of 71 campsites and plenty of picnic areas to spend the day with the family or enjoy some of the possible activities that can be done at Ellison Provincial Park.

Conclusion
This is by far my favorite spot in the Okanagan. It has all you need in a park including 3 large beaches, hiking trails, campsites, clean water and peace, and quiet, I mean what more do you need? I highly recommend a visit to the beautiful Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, and if you do decide to come, make Ellison Provincial Park your destination. Bring family and friends with you and rent a campsite, then go down to the beach for the day and after roast some tube steaks on an open fire.
