Guide to Travel Los Cabos
About Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico
Los Cabos is an amazing and unique desert region in Mexico, located on the southernmost tip of the Baja California Peninsula. It encompasses the two cities of San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Los Cabos has nearly 300,000 residents but swells with large numbers of tourists year-round. With dramatic and rugged coastlines comparable only to that of the Mediterranean, it's no wonder why tourists flock here by the millions each year.
If fun activities for the whole family are what you're looking for, then Los Cabos may just be your next travel destination. An ATV ride through the dunes in the desert or a spectacular sunset sailing cruise is just a couple of fun things to do while in Los Cabos. The endless amount of fantastic scenery in this region is a photographer’s dream, a place where the desert meets the ocean and brings clear skies with spectacular sunsets nearly every evening. Garden lovers such as myself will enjoy the desert and tropical plant combination that only exists in a climate such as the one in Los Cabos.

Accommodations in Los Cabos
Resorts and hotels are of course abundant in a place like Los Cabos and there is pricing to fit every budget. Much like other popular regions of Mexico resorts in Los Cabos offer All-Inclusive meal and drink plans. For our resort, we stayed at Posada Real Los Cabos, which was the middle of the road when it comes to resorts and one of the cheaper options in terms of All-Inclusive. Most resorts will offer you fun excursion opportunities, but try to shop around or even check online (Tripadvisor) to be sure you're getting the best deal possible.
If you're not into the All-Inclusive resort thing or maybe you're looking to stay in Los Cabos for an extended period of time, then you can definitely stretch your dollar and check out VRBO. We have used VRBO many times and it's a great way to save on accommodations, especially if you are traveling with family or another couple, then you can combine your budget to expand your options and even rent a private pool house.

When one makes travel plans to Los Cabos they may end up conflicted about whether to stay in San Jose Del Cabo or in Cabo San Lucas. I will give you a few tidbits of info on each place and then you decide on which Cabo will be your destination.
About San Jose Del Cabo
A beautiful place, but much less scenic then it's sister city. It has a much more relaxed atmosphere and is perfect for quiet morning strolls providing a lovely downtown shopping area with a large supermarket where you can purchase all your essentials. The two cities are divided by 20 miles of scenic coastline and beaches and there is no shortage of room for a family picnic.
About Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Bustling but beautiful is the perfect description for Cabo San Lucas. Made world-famous for El Arco De Cabo San Lucas (The Arch of Cabo San Lucas) a natural monument that is frequented by millions of tourists from around the globe. I highly recommend taking one of the local Sailboat tours, where you will enjoy a sunset cruise along the coast while being wined and dined by the boat crew. Another enjoyable activity we did was an ATV ride through the dunes. On this trip, you are provided with a 2-4 person side by side vehicle depending on how many people you plan to ride with. From the starting point, your guide will take you through scenic desert landscapes at top speeds until you reach the ocean. Once there you will ride along an amazingly beautiful white sand beach.
Cabo San Lucas also has plenty of shopping and markets, anything from typical Mexican souvenirs in the markets to luxurious designer clothing like they have in Puerto Paraiso Mall. As far as activities and entertainment go Cabo San Lucas has one up on San Jose Del Cabo, but I suppose it's all that you're looking for on a vacation.
