About The Wall Trail, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia

The Wall and Base Lift Loop is a 4.8-kilometer hiking trail and is just one of many trails that lies in the world-famous Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park. The park is roughly ten minutes from the city of Vernon, British Columbia, and features three separate parking lots that are located at different sections of the park, each offering a plethora of trails leading to lookouts and beaches.

The Wall and Base Lift Loop is an excellent example of semi-arid Okanagan Valley grasslands opening up to gorgeous views of the ever-blue Kalamalka Lake. Hikers will ascend the mountain and pass through small sections of pine forests and grasslands making their way to the top where they will see a row of powerlines. Once hikers come across the power lines they will know they are close to the lookout point.
