Playa Delfines is a spectacular public beach that lies along the coast of Cancun, Mexico. It is just one of many beautiful beaches that lie on the shores of Quintana Roo. That being said Playa Delfines has so much to offer and has great amenities and is perfect for family gatherings. The beach features brilliant powdery white sand and crystal clear blue water that the Caribbean Sea is so well known. In terms of amenities, the beach also boasts free palapas, washrooms, showers, several lifeguard towers, and vendors who walk down the beach selling drinks and snacks including alcohol.
Playa Delfines translates to Dolphin Beach in English and also carries the nickname El Mirador (The Lookout). The reason it is nicknamed “The Lookout” is because of the excellent views over the Caribbean Sea and the coastline. There is also a colorful Cancun sign where visitors line up to take a picture.
Playa Delfines has plenty of parking space in case you choose to drive to this beach, but if you’re in the hotel zone you might as well hop on one of the busses that cruise up and down the highway. If you are traveling with children they will enjoy the neat playground that sits directly on the beach.
