Pavilion Lake is perfectly tucked into the dramatic mountain ranges of Marble Canyon, British Columbia, Canada. It is located just off of Highway 99 in between the towns of Cache Creek and Lillooet. The lake lies within the boundaries of the Marble Canyon Provincial Park and sits on the edge of the vast wilderness that is known as the Coastal Mountains. The surrounding mountains of Marble Canyon, include Chimney Rock, which is a spiritual place for the First Nations communities that live in the region.
In the summer months, the water of the lake glows with a brilliant emerald hew and is a popular swimming spot and local attraction. Beneath the water, there is a natural phenomenon that has been researched by NASA and the Canadian Space Agency for its mysterious karst formation that resembles coral from the ocean. The formations are home to species of microbialites, which are a type of stromatolite.

Enjoy some swimming, hiking, camping, and biking within Marble Canyon Provincial Park. This beautiful park has a small campground, which is located between Turquoise Lake and Crown Lake. The park is also a popular travel destination among fishermen and wildlife enthusiasts.
