White Lake Provincial Park
About White Lake Provincial Park, Shuswap, BC
White Lake Provincial Park is located on the shores of White Lake in the beautiful Shuswap region of British Columbia, Canada, and is perfectly tucked into the surrounding mountains of the Sorrento and Salmon Arm area. The lake is perhaps most popular for its stunning blue water that allows you to easily see the bottom which makes for excellent swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and SUP paddleboarding. There is a small community of people that call White Lake home and the area has a wonderfully relaxed vibe and is perfect for a family picnic or as a summer getaway vacation destination. The park which was established in 1965 is situated on 266 hectares of rugged BC wilderness and provides little in terms of amenities. There are two pit toilets, a rough boat launch, an old picnic shelter, and 10 total campsites that do not even have picnic tables or fire pits. The campground does not take reservations and goes on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Another excellent spot that is perfect for day use and swimming is Hugh Road Community Park which features picnic tables, toilets, parking, and a wonderful little peddle beach with crystal clear blue water.
