Cenote La Casa Del Alux is one of the most beautiful and underrated Cenotes in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. It is located off of the 307 highway in Puerto Aventuras. From the Chedraui grocery store, you can either drive to the cenote or take a taxi tricycle, which should cost $15 MXN ($1 CAD - $0.75 USD). Entrance fees run at $150 MXN ($9.60 CAD - $7.59 USD) for the whole day.
The property boasts one deep cenote with a jumping platform, as well as a smaller pool, two waterfalls, a large cave, and some amazing water channel caves that connect all the features together. The grounds are well maintained and there are a bunch of picnic tables which makes it perfect for families or groups. There are also washroom facilities on the property and a covered area with tables and chairs for large parties.
Cenote La Casa Del Alux is situated on the edge of the vast Yucatan jungle and as such there are plenty of opportunities to see some Mexican wildlife like birds, iguanas, coati, spider monkeys, turtles, and many species of fish.
