The walls of each village showcase as defensive structures from centuries. The intriguing aspect of those paintings is that natural colors were used, which were taken from various natural sources, including muds and white stones. The Forbidden Kingdom of Lo is a restricted area, and entry to it requires a restricted area permit. One of Nepal's best-preserved regions, the area is home to many Tibetan-speaking locals in Lo-Manthang. You first travel by air or road to Pokhara from the dusty capital of Kathmandu. The city of Pokhara, which sits on the edge of Lake Phewa in central Nepal, is well-known for being the starting point and destination for the highly popular Annapurna Base Camp and Annapurna Circuit trekking routes in Nepal's Himalayas. You will travel from Pokhara to a little town called Jomsom, which is located next to the Kagbeni River. Jomsom is also reachable to you by air as well.
