Red Sands Beach, Nelson
About Red Sands Beach, Kootenay, BC
Red Sands Beach is an incredibly beautiful spot that is situated on the shores of magnificent Kootenay Lake, and just outside of the laid-back, free-loving hippie stronghold of Nelson, British Columbia. The beach is steeped in controversy over the fact that locals and travelers alike use the beach to get that full-body tan if you know what I mean. I mean nudity in case you were unsure. In the past, there have been proposals to develop commercial and residential units which would include the development of Red Sands Beach. As you can imagine this has sparked outrage with the locals, who would like to keep it the way it is. Other more conservative folks are outraged about all the birthday suits that are on the beach. Whatever happens to Red Sands Beach in the future will be out of my control, but I feel that the people of Nelson will fight for what they believe in and I would suggest that you “stand up for your rights”, as the great Bob Marley once said.
