Playa El Salado, Puerto Vallarta
Playa El Salado is situated on the gorgeous Bay of Banderas in the Marina area of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It is lined with luxurious oceanfront resorts such as the Grand Velas, Sol Meliá, Marriott, Mayan Palace, and Westin hotel. The beach is somewhat difficult to reach on foot unless you are staying at one of the resorts. That being said El Salado can still be reached by locating the street called Bocanegra which is situated right next to The Bayview Grand Condo and the Puerto Vallarta Airport.
Playa El Salado is a large sandy beach with plenty of space to lay out in the sun for the day and can be nearly empty in the low season. In the high season, the beach fills up with people looking to relax or partake in fun activities like parasailing, windsurfing, banana boating, and jet skiing. Some of the resorts rent out sailboats, sailboards, and sea kayaks. In late summer and early fall, visitors can learn about the protection of sea turtles and witness the release of baby turtles into the wild
